In the last year or so, we faced tremendous setbacks with the DEI rollback. It's deeply affected our business. In fact, we almost had to close the doors just a few months ago, but we are trying a variety of different strategies to be able to survive and to be able to come back.

With the recent rollbacks, the spotlight has shifted and the opportunities have shrunk. For small businesses, these changes aren't just political. They're very personal. They affect how we're funded and how we're supported. To our community, your support matters now more than ever before.

Black women build what the world needs. We drive trends. We create culture. We innovate industries, including fashion. We are continuously asked to do more with less. I refuse to let DEI Rollbacks define my brand's future.

Recently, major retailers have started rolling back their commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion. These changes directly affect small businesses like ours, limiting opportunities for growth and visibility, and making the marketplace a lot less vibrant.

We are moving the needle in the right direction. There is an appetite to support underrepresented brands like mine, and without some of these initiatives, we just won't get seen. It means the world to us when you make a purchase from small brands like ours, so thank you so much.

We create candles, apparel and accessories that do more than look good. They speak life. When you support us, you're not just buying a product, you're joining a movement that is rooted in hope, healing, and affirmation.

The recent rollbacks of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives have profoundly affected my small, black- owned business. You're not just buying food, you're joining a movement, and we are so happy that you are here.

My message to shoppers is: vote with your dollars. Shop from brands that you want to see successful. Don't shop at places that make you feel like an afterthought. Like, oh yeah, you can come.

Please shop small. Your dollars generally have a direct impact on the livelihood of small business owners, as well as their longevity.

Small businesses like mine really rely on customers who believe that the support of the small businesses matter, and it truly does. So we appreciate you for recognizing the unique value that we bring to the table, and I just ask that you continue to do that.

Whatever the outcome [of DEI rollbacks], we will continue to push forward and knock on the doors of opportunity. Thank you to those who believe in us and have been along on this journey.
